DMS objectives in Mozambique are to develop and create “Partnerships for Success” between the Mozambique Government and local communities living in areas subject to recurring natural and other disasters, by establishing a presence with a central DMS Centre in Maputo, capable of monitoring and responding to disasters before these occur or immediately thereafter and to prepare and empower the most vulnerable communities along the Zambezi River (the fifth largest in the World) and Limpopo Rivers to anticipate, prepare and respond to these disasters long before any outside help arrives.
The main emphasis of DMS in Mozambique is to provide an efficient local community-based floodplain mitigation program for those communities exposed to recurring floods as well as the provision of safe clean drinking water to rural areas within the Maputo, Sofala, Tete and Zambezi Provinces.
DMS Centres will also provide other community-based training programs in such areas as water and land reform management aimed at increasing crop yields and creating sustainable communities through capacity building, and empowerment.
Family health programs will also play a significant part of the services offered by the DMS Centres to local communities, including education in the prevention and spread of HIV/AIDS, malaria, trachoma and immunization against other communicable or infectious diseases.
It is expected that other DMS Centres will be opened in Mozambique once the necessary building blocks in these “Partnerships for Success” take root in Mozambique and among DMS donors, partners and supporters who make it possible for the DMS Foundation to carry-out its humanitarian work.

Increase Funds for Non-Profits
Online donations reduce the need for nonprofits to fundraise, one-on-one everytime. which is a very costly process. creating ways to connect new donors woth nonprofits also helps reduce their costs.
Benefits for the Environment
The costs to the environment are incredibly high. Internet transactions eliminate the need for paper.
On average, you probably receive about 200 pieces of mail from nonprofits each year. These mailings help grt the word out about an organization's accomplishments and are also essential to raising money. Still, it's likely that you open less than 10% of the charity mail that you receive.
The waste produced by these traditional fundraising methods is significant. 200 pieces of mail require about 1.5 trees to produce the paper they're printed on. Collectivelly, more than 12 billion pieces of charity mail go out every year, requiring more than 100 million trees and ultimately generating more than 2 million tons of lanfill waste.
Over 3,000 men, women & children die in Africa every month from disease & poverty. They die in silence, they die untreated & many times, they die alone. They die of diseases that are preventable and curable.
DMS Centres provide local community-based programs to reverse this tide of human destruction and suffering,
Please help us achieve our humanitarian mission, goals and objectives, with your generous donation.
