DMS Foundation has changed its name as published in the Government of Canada Gazette Vol. 143, No. 35 – August 29, 2009, and receipt of a subsequent Letter of Patent issued by the Ministry of Industry Canada dated July 13, 2009, granting the name change from the DMS Foundation to “On Guard for Humanity”. As a registered public charity, Canada Revenue Agency’s official notification of a change of the organization’s registration name to On Guard for Humanity was made effective October 19, 2009.
The B/N Registration Number assigned to On Guard for Humanity by the Canada Revenue Agency as a registered charity remains unchanged and is #: 84526 9075 RR 0001.
The rebranding of the DMS Foundation initiated over a year ago, was motivated as a result of feedback and recommendations received from donors, members and recipients for a name that should reflect the true mission, goals and objectives of this young Canadian public charity if it was to be taken notice of as a volunteer humanitarian organization.
